As a country club that has hosted a countless number of weddings in Bucks County, PA, you can rest assured that we know more than enough about how having a bad hair day is simply not an option for any bride. While many brides are lucky enough to have a hairstylist they can trust to provide them with a gorgeous updo, others may not. Whatever the case, to ensure that you are completely happy with your hair when you and your fiancé say your “I Do’s,” here is what you can do:
1. Ask other brides you know who did their hair.
If you already have a hairdresser you trust to provide you with a flawless do, you can skip this step. If you don’t, the best thing you can do is ask other brides who did their hair, and if they liked the final results. Inevitably, once you have decided on who’s the best for you, you should schedule a consultation and practice run.
2. Schedule a consultation and bring photos of your ideal wedding hairstyle.
The best way to ensure you get the look you want, will always be dependent on whether or not you have any photos. During your consultation, you should also have the stylist do a practice run and test out your preferred hairstyle, as well as a few others you are considering. Lastly, wear a white top to your consultation, or a shirt that has a similar neckline to that of your wedding dress, as some hairstyles look better with different necklines.
3. Document the final look of each hairstyle, as well as how long it takes to create.
Bring a camera to your consultation and have the hairstylist take photos. You should also have him or her take photos of the hairstyle from different angles so that you can get a better idea of how it may look at different angles in your wedding photographs. Lastly, don’t neglect to time how long it takes the stylist to work because, after all, we all know time is probably going to be precious on your big day!
In the end, if you want to have the best hairstyle on your wedding day, it’s important that you prepare ahead of time! Also, if you can’t find a stylist, we have no problem referring you to some of the ones our brides have used in the past.
